Beautiful America, Land of the free, and the home of the brave, where everything is bigger and
better,and lets face it, we love it, and wouldnt have it any other way. We have bigger cars, bigger
boats, bigger houses,bigger bank accounts and unfortunatly bigger people . Thats right I said
it....BIGGER people! In fact approximatly one-third of U.S. adults are obese and it is estimated that one in
four Americans will reach obesity by the year 2020. We are a big beautiful nation, but sadely we are
killing ourselves. While standing in line at the grocery store, and running errands around town, I look
around and see so many over weight people! I often think to myself, how did we get this way? Why is
America one of the largest nations out there? Why do we have so many obese people, and how did I
become one of them? Thats right, I am one of them and here is my personal story. I have struggled
with weight problems my entire life! I have battled the bulge for at least 20yrs that I can remember. I
have tried everything on a journey to NOWHERE and spent hundreds of dollars on things that do not
work! I have tried it all, hollywood diets, fad diets, diet pills, protein shakes, enfomercials, workout
videos and magazines that swear you can shed 50lbs by summer, only to find out that not only did I lose
the weight, but I gained it all back and then some after I stopped the sharade. Its frustrating, depressing,
expensive, not to mention exhausting! I am 30 yrs old, 5'3 and weigh 215lbs, I am borderline diabetic,
have sleap apnea and high blood pressure, I get out of breath when walking and even buttoning my
pants. I shy away from clothing stores and cameras! I have been pointed at, gocked at, called names,
and been made fun of by complete strangers, my friends, and even my family and Im tired of it! Many
of us have been struggling to be fit for a long time, we buy into the gimmeks that are fresh on the
market looking for a fast way out but the truth is that you are not going to find skinny in a bottle, shake
or magazine! Skinny comes from with in! It is first the passion and desire to be thin, secondly it is the
dedication and commitment to becoming thin, and last it is the hardwork that you contribute to
becoming thin. So many of us fail because we do not obtain the knowledge that is crucial for weight
loss, we try the lose weight fast scheme only to gain it all back! Most of us just simply give up! Losing
weight safely and effectively takes time, I know that the word time is a four letter word to most of us but
in reality it took time for you to pack on the pounds so its going to take time to get it off. It is said that
safe weight loss should be no more than two lbs a week! Losing weight at the rate of two lbs a week for
six months is a total of 52lbs and at the same rate in one year it is a total 104lbs. Losing weight can be
exciting, fun, and rewarding if you stay on the right track and are provided the right tools to help you
